I'm a 26 year male. 6'1 and 250 lbs. The scale house in my bathroom is scaling 247. 3 pounds is Nothing compared to losing the 47 lbs I want to lose before my wedding deadline. Tonight is the last night I'll allow myself of carbs and unhealthy foods and drinks.

This weekend was not a weekend to start my diet or my workout regime. I ate Chinese food drank craft beers and spaghetti. Sure the side salad takes some guilt away but not enough of it. So I bought cellucor super HD at gnc. I feel focused and a bit energetic.

Tomorrow my goal is to eat less than 2000 calories.
workout for 1 hour or 5 miles. I walk 4 mph.
to take super HD at 6 am and L carnitine throughout the day.
go to dunkin donuts and order black coffee... no sugar. I'm sweet enough. Lol some will disagree with that phrase.

I want to body I had five years ago. I need my old body back because this rig here feels heavy and the fees are too much to pay off. Plus the fact that your body weight is also scaled in to your truck and trailers overall weight. Not that 250 lbs will affect me at an actual truck scale. But the way I'm going. 350 to 400 lbs will. And not matter how you slide the tandems the weight is still there. So if anyone reads this. Some words of encouragement will help. 10-4 good buddies!

Hi Roadking and welcome to the forum! Having your wedding as a deadline (and all those pictures?) sounds like great motivation, when´s it going to be? Do you do long hauls? I´d be interested to hear how you deal with finding healthy food while on the road.

thanks for the welcome! And good morning! The wedding is Oct 2 2015. I used to be OTR (over the road) and I enjoyed it. My fiancée hated it. So I'm doing local LTL ( less than truckload) I'll deliver to stores like home depot target Lowe's and other companies. And eating healthy is a challenge. Not many places in ma have room to accommodate a truck that's 70 feet long. Lol.

But when I was OTR I would buy veggies in a cup and eat salads. The bunk heater in the sleeper would actually heat up soup cans. That lasted only so long before I gave into truck stop food which is not all that bad. But does absolutely zero for any diet commitments. Since I was with a dedicated account (target) I would drop the trailer out back and bring the truck into the parking lot and do my food shopping.

With a 70 hr work week, I'll work anywhere from 9 to 12 hours a day. I'll do my best to keep everyone up to date and if theirs any drivers on the forums hopefully they'll find their way to this thread.

Jeez, that's a long working week. What sort of stuff are you going to be eating? I guess truck stop food is like chips and stuff, huh?

Lol ya but with the company I'm with I'll work a max of 48 to 52 hours in a week. Then I'm off for the weekend for my 34 hr reset.

Since I'm LTL I'm home every night. I don't usually eat during the day. I know I should. But rarely do I. I'm planning on stopping at Wegmans for sushi tonight and some chicken fillets. My fiancée is always telling me to pack a lunch!

Packed lunches are definitely your friend, maybe you can prepare some stuff during the weekend? I get a 15 minute break for lunch and even though I drive a tiny car for which it´s easy to find parking space I´m not going to spend that time queueing at the supermarket so I try to always have something prepared. Saves time and temptation.
47lbs in 10 months should be doable in a healthy way. Small changes and consistency will see you through :)

Week 1 of the drivers log.

Monday through Wednesday was great. I was at the gym for about an hour. 40 mins of cardio and about 10 to 12 minutes of weight training. Push ups and sit ups for 15 minutes in the back of the trailer on my DOT mandatory 30 minute break. And some lifting and unloading of freight was required on thursday.

But Thursday and Friday my eating took a nose dive. Fast food struck again. Twice in the same day. Monday and Wednesday I ate less than 2000 calories and Thursday and Friday I may have tipped the scale. But not all is lost. The swelling of my face and my sides of gone down. So much so I have a jaw line. Ample drinking of water throughout the day with cellucor super HD pills. And to my surprise the appetite suppressant worked but only for so long.

Friday (last night) I went to the local Italian club and felt that I had a tough enough week to go and have a few beers.. very light beers. Shot some billiards and it was nice to see everyone having a great time. The place has never felt so warm and friendly in a long while.

Today I start my eat less move more campaign. I want to start out by doing 30 minutes of high intense free weights and to do 20 push ups aday. As for eating. I need to find my limit to say enough is enough. My thinking and my day to day eating is of a "warriors diet" dating back through history that men would go out hunt and gather to come back and eat one meal a day with proper hydration.

Weight lost this week is hard to tell. The swelling has gone from my face and mid section but the scale accurate or not is steady. I may have lost a pound. But I still am unsure. Is it possible that I lost fat and replaced it with muscle? Or did I just even out?
