Well here we go, perhaps having somewhere to write, get advise and so on might help keep this going.
Im 5ft 4, 34 yrs old and at the start of my diet weighed 172lbs, ive always been petite so for me this is huge and im not happy at all, I have been feeling the effects recently in my back and joints and getting out of breath and with a huge family history of heart problems for me its time to change.
I have a huge incentive to help me and that is we have just booked our first family holiday abroad and I cant wait, ive never been abroad so I want to feel good and look good for myself.
I have four children and a wonderful supportive partner who i have been with for almost 16 yrs.
My diary started on the 3rd January my start weight 172lbs, after my first week I had lost 6lb and then this week another 2lb taking my total so far to 8lbs, I dont exercise much so in the second week, myself and another mum from school have taken to doing a keep fit dvd tuesday and thursday, its a hard workout but love it, I also worked out two extra times last week but pulled all my neck which has been agony this weekend but on the mend now and ready to start again tomorrow, ive had to take a few days off with the pain in my neck but cant wait to get back started.
I also have never drank a lot of water, I do find plain water hard to drink enough of so have been having the flavoured water.
For meals ive been having something like cereal with low fat milk for breakfast or today I had one slice of bread (toasted) with half tin of beans on. For dinners ill have something like a sandwich or weight watchers meal and then for tea a weight watchers meal or if what the family are having is ok then ill have that. Ive not really been snacking between however if i do find im really hungry ill have some fruit or snackajacks.
The first week i found evenings really hard as its always been nighttime when ive sat down with coke and crisps or chocolate but its not bothering me now.
Looking forward to this journey, Ive got 6 and half months to make it to my target of about 135lb
