Greetings and Welcome to my thread. ^_^ This is where I will be keeping track of my weight loss progress and tactics. I welcome people to come in and chat with me on this journey.

Why am I doing this? Well besides the fact that I've been chubby for years and was bullied for it in school, it's just time to do something about it. My motivation includes a free vacation I won on the radio recently. It's amazing....4 days/3 nights, free accommodations, airfare, food and drink. I have my choice of three locations - all amazing. I wish making the decision on which location to choose was the hardest thing I know I'm going to face. But it's not true. The hardest thing for me will be feeling comfortable in a virtual paradise because of my body. This is something that needs to change before I go...I don't want yet another trip with no pictures of me because I can't stand to look at them.

So......my goal is to lose weight - mainly in the theigh and abdominal areas.

Height: 5'6"
Starting weight: 165 lbs
Goal weight: 125 lbs

Have you checked out any health sites to see what a good weight would be for you? I am just 5'4" and very happy to finally be DOWN to 165 lbs! I am aiming for around 150. You have a couple of inches on me!

I also wonder if you have any specific plan in mind for losing. FitDay.com is a great place to find out about calorie stuff.

Congratulations on making a decision to change what's bothering you about yourself. I've recently done the same thing, and I know how hard it can be. If this is something you want to change for good, then you'll find a way to do it--but bear in mind that the best success (as I've learned from all these disciplined, motivated people around us) is to start thinking about permanent change in your habits.
