The beginning and nearly at the end!

Hey all, I started my weight loss journey a year and a half ago at 175 lbs. I reached my initial goal of 150 lbs after about 4 months and held steady for quite awhile. I then dropped down to 140 lbs (approximately my current weight). I am SO close to my ultimate goal of 130 lbs, but it thrills me to see the changes so far. Note: both pics are completely unglamorous camping shots which seems to be all I have ;) The first pic is me at my peak weight, and the second is at around 140 lbs. Third pic to be added in about 2 months!
 
Wow, you look fantastic! I give so much credit to people that can stick to their weight loss plan...I've been struggling for so long with my weight and I finally decided that it'd be best to get support from a forum group. How have you kept the weight off? I'm new to this website and just recently posted my first thread so if you have any tips, I'd love to hear them!
 
You look really fabulous and healthy. Plus you manage to look gorgeous, even while camping! Good for you!

How tall are you, btw? And do you exercise much?
 
Thanks for the compliments! I am 5'8" tall, but small framed. I do exercise; mostly walking/ running a 4-mile-loop (I live in the country and use the roads by my house.) I try to do that 3-4 times a week and get whatever other exercise I can in between. My weight loss was mostly through dieting though- it definitely took a change in my mind-set. I always viewed food as an annoying chore before, now I view it almost like a project or hobby. I made it more important- a priority to get in all the nutrient-dense foods and cut out the junk. Once I started taking calorie counting seriously the weight came off quickly and easily. You follow the formula and get results...it seems easy in retrospect! I don't really have any tips beyond that...once I decide to do something I am fairly unshakable in my motivation so I didn't find it to be too much of a challenge. Lurking on this forum helped, and I use the Daily Plate on Livestrong.com. I finally feel like the real me now!
 
Great job so far and good luck reaching your ultimate goal! My goal is also 130 & I at 140.4, but I'm 5'6." I'm built heavier in my legs, though.
