The baby weight syndrome *sigh*

Hello all!

I'm so glad I came across this forum. I really want to get serious about getting healthy and becoming more active. I had my daughter almost two years ago and I've been going back and forth between exercising for a few weeks then stopping.

Seriously, I cannot get motivated. You know when "they" say, if you truly want to change and if you've hit rock bottom you'll change?

Well I can't explain how much I want to change my fitness and nutrition habits. I want it BAD! but when it comes down to it... zero motivation.

Well anyway, I hope to get to know some people on here who have the same problem I do and get ideas and such..

hi Lpink and welcome. its taken me ten years to get round to losing my baby weight. had to stop saying ive just had a baby as an excuse after a few years. its great that your are wanting to something about your baby weight now rather than later. it just gets harder and for me i ended up putting even more weight on.
my biggest motivation (albeit after some weight loss) was the extra energy i now have to play and keep up with my kids. my kids would plead with me to play and i never had any energy etc. now ive got tons and the kids struggle to keep up with me at times. maybe something like that would help motivate you too.also my son said the other day that when he cuddles me he can get his arms right round me.

Hi welcome to the forum.I am also a mom trying to lose that baby weight.I had 2 babies in the last 3 years and it has really been hard.
I am now want to be more healthy for myslef and my family.I never lost all the weight from my first son I always carried 20 extra pounds from that pregnancy.I am now learning about portion sizes and how my body reacts to certain foods. I am having great sucess and I am sure you will too. I usually just read alot and that alone has provided me with sooo much information.
I hope to read your sucess story in months to come!!!!
 
welcome to the forum! I just had my second child a month ago, and I'm determined to get the weight off ASAP. I waited a while after my first to start working on the baby weight, and it was a lot harder than it has been so far this time. Good for you that you're wanting to get healthier. As far as motivation, I use a combination of my kids(and how much my oldest loves running around EVERYWHERE) and my closet(gotta fit into my fun clothes again sometime!!). Feel free to post in the "new mom's" section. There is a bunch of us over there that are fighting the same baby weight fight.
