Teenage Work out

Hi, I'm 13 and male,

I know i shouldn't be lifting weights at my age but are there any other exercises i can do to produce bigger muscles in my arms? Also what can i do to improve my stamina? Can someone please help me?

eat loads of healthy food and do some sport like rowing or swimming. swimming is excellent I've never met a serious swimmer that didn't have a perfect six pack (too bad I hate it)

Thanks

Thanks for the advice but is there any other way to workout because swimming isn't really my thing! Can beggers be choosers?

It's okay to lift weights at your age if you stick to submaximal weights. That is, don't lift as much as you can. You run the risk of damaging (I've read) the growth plates on your bones and hurting bone growth if you put too much pressure on them.

I started lifting when I was 14, and I grew to 5'8" (pretty average).

When i was 13 i had 4 full time jobs and worked out 8 days a week using only animals on my farm as wieghts, LOL (sarcasm), yeah keep the wieght low and reps int eh high range. i would avoid things that put alot of stress on the back or knees like squats or bent over rows because you might not be developed enough in other areas to support things ... and being 13 with a blown out knee will not make you life any easyer
