Hi there and welcome to my diary.

These were the basics when I started out:

I currently weight 11st 11lbs - (167 lbs)
I am 5 ft 4
I want to lose about 2 stone (28 lbs) and I haven't got a goal date
I am currently eating between 1000 - 1400 calories per day (mostly nearer 1000)
Going to gym 2-3 times per week

I have a feeling that I am probably not eating enough but not really sure ??

Any advice and support greatly appreciated

I changed my diet by upping the calories and now have a more steady intake of around 1380. The daily intake does vary like a zig zag effect as I have heard that works good.

I haven't been to the gym this week I'm afraid but I just have such a busy life it's hard to fit in sometimes (I work 2 jobs).

I am drinking alot of green tea, totally given up the normal stuff, I am still in shock as I was addicted (or thought I was), now I can't touch the stuff as the milk turns my stomach.

Anyway, it was weigh in day today and I am now 11 stone 7 lbs (164 lbs) so thats a loss of 3-4 lbs :hurray:
 
Well I had a pretty poor week as last Sunday I had a three course Sunday lunch and also an Indian takeaway on the evening :piggy:

Also, have been quite short of money to buy fruit and more healthy foods this week so I have been basically living off what was in my cupboard, whihch was pasta with passata sauce or tinned tomatoes.

BUT luckily on weigh in today, I have stayed the same so :hurray:

I am off work next week and I get paid so I plan to do alot of healthy shopping and also get myself to the gym more.

I want those pointers to go down next Friday!

Thought i would pop in and say hi :) Your cals do seem a little low to be honest. You should prob be sticking to around 1500 ish depending on how active you are. There is loads of advice on the boards abt how to calculate the best cal intake for your needs. Best thing i ever did was up my cals - im still losing every week and i dont feel nearly so deprived :D Also, if you start your cals too low then you have nothing to play with if you plateau...also starvation mode is not good cos it makes you keep the weight aaarrrgghhh!! loll

I have tried various websites to find out how many calories I should be consuming and they all seem to fall at about 1500 and so I have been trying to stick to just under that but some days have been going as high as 1500 and this past week, probably higher than that.

I will make more effort next week and be a bit more religious with what I'm doing so I can see if the calories are working for me and if so, I'll stick and if not I'll increase.

I'm gonna go to the gym more next week and hoping to go and play on my friends Nintendo Wii so that should be fun!

:iagree: I love the WII !!!!!!! It is so good for toning your arms. We usually play the Sonic and Mario olympic game - total killer! The boxing game is also really good (gets me completely out of breath!) :hurray:

Im gonna try and haul myself to the park today for a 4 mile walk with the puglet...it usually tires us both out good and proper! I had a pretty boozy night last night so want to try and burn off the wine cals!
