Taking 100% WHEY help!

I just wanted to say that this is my third thread on here so far and I am so grateful for you guys helping me out on here. Just wanted to say that I find great answers from you guys.

I am 21 and I weight 138lbs.

I've been trying to start lifting and getting "toned" that I have been researching and asking a lot of questions and here is what I am currently doing and I have some questions.

I go to the gym Tuesday, Thursday, and Sundays.

Tuesdays = Chest & Triceps - 4 machines for each, 3 sets of 10-15. 150 ab crunches or so total with various machines, walk/run 2 miles.

Thursdays = Back and Biceps - 4 machines for each, 3 sets of 10-15.
150 ab crunches or so total with various machines, walk/run 2 miles.

Sundays = Legs and Sholders = 4 machines for each, 3 sets of 10-15.
150 ab crunches or so total with various machines, walk/run 2 miles.

I just bought today GNC 100% WHEY Protein Powered Drink Mix (Banana Cream) and I was just wondering if I should be drinking this. I am looking to get toned and maybe put on some muscle but I want definition. I want to get cut. I DO NOT want to get fat and what I am worried about is me drinking this and putting a lot of protein in my body and not working out hard enough to burn it off and it will soon put weight on me. I am so scared of this. I don't want to mess my body up but I would like to be noticeable "leaner or cut" I guess. Bigger arms would be nice with pecs and stuff haha.

I asked the guy a GNC and he said pour 10oz cup of milk, 2 scoops of the powder and maybe add a real banana in, blend and drink 30 mins before workout, 30 mins after workout and right before bed on workout days. On days I will not be working out, he said one in the afternoon and one before bed. Does this sound right and should I be doing it any different?

I am a small dude so I don't want ANY weight put on me that will go right to my stomach or face and make me fat. Please explain if I am doing this right.

EDIT: I thought I would mention that I am on no diet but do not eat junk food. I drink water and I eat mostly frozen food so that is my current food plan which probably isn't good. I dunno.

It doesn't look like you have a lot of muscle to start off with. Lean, yes. Muscled...no.

looking 'toned' is all about lowering bodyfat to show off muscle. If you lower body fat and have no muscle, you just look scrawny, not brawny.

Do not look at protein as anything other than food. because that's all it is. Food. If you eat too many calories, you gain weight, and it could be fat or muscle or both. Eat too few, you lose weight.

You need to eat more, lift hard, build up some muscle, then lean back out a little after the bulking phase. Then you'll look "toned" and 'athletic/fit'.

I'm actually thinking of dropping a protein drink all together and just get some GNC Sport pack vitamins and start taking them and work out.

I can still get cut and stuff with good old vitamins and working out right? No drinks.
