Take charge of your life

I gave up work a year ago; this has left me feeling very bored and dissatisfied with life. I had a great job with a good pay packet and benefits. Now at 62, my children wanted me to quit work and take time off for myself so that I can have a leisurely life. I was enjoying myself initially, but now I am bored, disinterested in most things and do not know what to do the whole day? I want to lead a wholesome and happy life.

This is a perfect setup for spam.

However, what made you quit your job? I mean if you were happy there, why did you let your children make you quit? Sometimes people find that their job was the only thing that defined them as a person, and when they lose that job, they suddenly realize that they really had nothing else in life but the job.

The problem is probably the fact that you have too much to do but nothing to do. I get that feeling all the time. Perhaps you should make an effort to travel a bit? Have plans to see the world in 10 years?

Take Charge

Rubin you made a great choice that not many people have in their control any longer. If you're on this site it would appear that you are interested in taking charge of some fitness issue which is again great because this site has interesting an informative info to share on all subjects.
I retired a few years back and decided to take the goods things from my training and career to open my own business doing the things that gave me satisfaction, fulfillment and some income. I'm constantly expanding my interests and continuing to grow.
Fitness and exercise have always been a primary interest and will continue to be my life style commitment. Diet and exercise are key to long term health. Your family has your best interests in mind an it's up to you to conquer the feelings of boredom etc to show the world you are in charge of the rest of your life and are going to jump with both feet into the next phase without fear or regret.
I set fitness goals all the time and look to this site for reinforcement and advice on my routines. Along with whatever you decide to pursue keep fitness a priority. Train hard, lift weights correctly, eat right not just calories but organic healthy choices, rest, research and have fun.
Good luck my friend, stay in touch with the group and start today.
