Unfortunately, that is nothing new at all.

Any kind of surgery can be dangerous, even if done professionally. Weight loss surgery is no different, and is known to cause more complications than other types of surgery.

That said, the guy in the article had liposuction, which is not what I would consider weight loss surgery at all. It's plastic surgery. Complelety different box of frogs. Just as dangerous though.

It's just a risk people take when going that route.

Any surgery can be dangerous. Any time anyone goes under anesthesia or sedation, or has a foreign object inserted into their bodies, or has something cut out of their bodies, it's potentially dangerous.

People tend to think of surgery as an easy fix - and what amazes me is that these are the same people who would balk at any other kind of surgery, get a second opinion, etc. But when it comes to some way to magically lose weight, they seem to forget that this is an invasive medical procedure with all the risks associated with ANY surgery or medical procedure.

means that weight loss surgery is very dangerous, you may loose your life also, i ve also heard a positive response about laparoscopic abdominal surgery. laparoscopic gastric banding, gastric bypass surgery and all. many people had a obesity weight loss surgery, some of tehm said that it is helpful and some of them give negative response, so m little bit confuse .what exactly weight loss surgeries effects?

Hi, this is just one of many possible results what weight-loss surgeries can effect. Well, the result of these operations is that one in five people had broken a bone within a few years. The researches have show that people who have undergone weight-loss surgery, are twice as likely to have broken a bone for the first time as were those in the general population.
What caused this results is not exactly clear yet. There are suggestions that some people were lacking in vitamin D or some other nutritional factor before they had surgery. The final answers are still remain unclear.
The advice from experts is to pay close attention to bone health for people who had the weight-loss surgery.

I would agree with KaraCooks.
Some people would do anything to lose the weight and their hurry-decision could lead them to make mistakes. Other people want quick result and they are forgetting to do the research on possible consequences. For me weight loss surgery would be the last option, as I know for sure how to lose the weight without surgery.
