Summer Plan

To introduce my self:
  • My name is Maxx
  • 5'11
  • 140lbs
  • 15 - 3 months from being 16 years old.
  • I play soccer, football, track/field, and cross-country.

My plan for this summer since it is starting tomorrow, is that I am going to try and get fit for sports next year as well as not look so chubby this summer. I do eat a lot of food (always have), but I want to know how I can eliminate foods I don't need and make myself have a better diet. My average meal is as follows:
  • Breakfast - 2-3 eggs, OJ/with algae, toast[or]bagel.
  • Lunch - 2-3 Quesdilla's + small pizza [or] Microwaved pesto pasta bowls + 1-2 quesdillas.
  • Snack - Bag of lightly salted chips and a brownie. :eek:
  • Dinner - 1/2 of pasta with broccoli [or] squash fries, asparagus, fish/chicken and rice.

I understand I should get ride of the snack but what other meals should I make and incorporate with mine. I make my own meals so I can eat when I want. My family is vegetarians, but I do eat chicken and occasionally tri-tip (friends).

Goals
  1. Get a six pack :cool:
  2. Increase my vertical
  3. Less body fat
  4. Stronger arms and legs

My body fat right now is about 14%. I don't know if thats good or bad. My question is what are all the possibility to get me started on achieving my goal. I'm trying to make a schedule so everyday I'm doing something to work a different part of my body. What kind of diet would help me lose weight and burn more calories.

ps. I do run about 2-4 miles a day and ride my bike 5-10 miles a day as well.

I would really really appreciate this if you could help me get my summer off to the right track.

Dude,
your diet is what is killing you. Lots of carbs and too little protein, and you are not eating frequently enough. Fruits ?? Read the Nutrition 101 stickies at the top of the nutrition forum and then post specific questions. You wont get much help by asking questions that have already been addressed in the other thread.

Post your questions here after you read up.

Read LV's grocery list there is plenty there and you can figure out a nice plan and you only have four meals listed. Remember you want 5-6 cuz you are gonna get hungry throughout the day. Also how often do you work out whats your routine like
 
Great article. I like that program. I was always told that you should separate stength endurance training and strength training into different cycles. But the way it was put forth makes sense. 1 day heavy to keep canabalism down while lactate training. Nice.
 
You're 5 foot 11 and weight 140 and you're chubby?? Start with a decent FBW plan and LV's grocery list! You should make decent progress.
