Sugar Intake

Ok well I do know a lot of sugar is a bad thing, and that it gives you a short burst of energy and if it isnt used for energy it becomes fat? I'm not all too sure on how it goes, but I got no clue how much sugar I should be taking in so I'm very conscious about how much I take in a day, trying to avoid drinks high in sugar, any suggestions or advice? Because I'm clueless.
 
Hi, the above article may be of some use to you. It is based on 2000cals a day which is the recommendation for women I believe, for men its 2500. Personally, the only sugar I take in is from my coffee! (around 3-4 small cups a day). Other than that I rarely eat sweets, rarely drink soda, but obviously there are still small amounts of sugar in other foods i eat such as yoghurts and cereals etc. I am by no means an expert in fitness/nutrition, but I'm getting there!...slowly but surely!..
