I did do my homework on this subject a little bit in the search engine and found that most people say that it WON'T stunt your growth if you weight lift. I asked a few of my brothers 18-20 y/o friends about it and they said that you can't and one said that you only can if your my age and trying to lift like an olympic guy does. I was wondering why so many people believe that it will stunt your growth? Because alot of people that are in their mid-late 20's have told me that it will stunt your growth if you start too early.
I'm 15 and am about 5'5 or so, haven't hit my growth spurt yet (at least I don't think/hope so). But that is my main worry about lifting too much is that I will stunt my growth a little because I didn't hit my growth spurt yet. If I can get as many people that know about this tell me and convice me, then I will believe it, I guess I'm looking as to why people so often tell me that it can. I'm a little on edge because I hate being short and wish to hit my growth spurt running full max so I can be like 6'1 or so, because I have short parents (mom-5'2...dad-5'7/8 or so).
