Stuff Dealing with Carbs

Hey as a snack can i have Kashi Go Lean Cereal in a zip lock baggy and just eat that as a snack meal?
FOr example
Meal 1~Breakfast-1 cup of oatmeal with 1/2 cup of skim milk
Meal 2~1 cup of Kashi Go Lean
Meal 3~Lunch a Salad with an apple OR a turkey sanwich with 2 slices of 100% whole wheat bread, lettuce and mustard. ALong with an apple and other fruits and maybe some pretzels. *idk about the pretzels you tell me what u think*
Meal 4~Fruit of some kind
Meal 5 Dinner~ Chicken, Fish, Steak, Or porkchop all with fat cut off. I dont know if porkchops are good for you or not are they? Then i'll have maybe a potato with them and some veggies.
Meal 6~Fruit

Hey can you have a boiled potato and rice the same night or is that to many carbs i had this tonight 2 Small Porkchops (fat cut off) 8 Small Salt Potatoes (the kind u get from new york) Around a cup of Beef Rice (i didnt have no wild) A cup of Pea's and not even a half cup of Califlower and no butter was added to anything well maybe 2 tbsp. in the rice but i didnt eat all of the rice ya know so i dont know how much of it i got. Tell me what you think about everything please

i wouldnt eat the preztels. too salty, and are probably processed and other crap like that. i dont think fruit constitutes as a meal. im pretty sure you should be getting 25-30g of protein with every small meal. and carbs before bed isnt such a good idea. as the carbs you eat earlier in the day store, and are even used the next day. your breakfast should probably be one of the bigger meals of the day, as you have the most energy in the morning. and have the least energy later in the day. hence the reason why, a light breakfast, medium lunch, and huge dinner is such a terrible idea.

I dont eat the salt on the pretzels, and they actually dont say enriches flour. Umm if i cant have a large dinner im gonna go away hungry. ANd before i go to bed i cant eat cottage cheese i hate that stuff. So what am i suppose to eat for dinner a small freakin salad. I cant starve myself. And i do eat a big breakfast 5 egg whites and almost a cup of oatmeal. I have to keep my calories below 1500

well you never mentioned eggs in your meal 1, you said 'oatmeal and milk'.

pretzels are still bad. 1,500 cals isn't much, you will likely be hungry.

I don't like cottage cheese either...but I eat it. i mix a half cup of it with a half cup of no-sugar-added fat-free yogurt, and a quarter cup of fiber one for my bedtime meal.

I think your meal plan looks terrific - especially from what it used to be. My biggest complaint is that you need to eat more for meals 4 & 6 - as Corple said, fruit isn't a meal.
Kashi cereal dry is a fine snack.
Pork chops are healthy and fine to eat.
I don't think it's too many carbs to eat potatoes and rice in the same night - but only if you're watching your portions. A cup of rice and a cup of peas is A LOT of carbs - I would suggest eating 1/2 cup of each, if you're going to eat all those potatoes. Basically, just make sure your portions are under control because that's the biggest issue.
And have more cauliflower!!!

yea man ur message made me happy. This morning i had a soft baked pretzel in the oven with my oatmeal. I was craving one but im going back to the eggs tomorrow. and as a snack kashi lol. Today for lunch i had chicken and corn and some cantalope.
Corple man i just cant eat that cottage cheese the smell gets to me just like that i just cant lol.

read all replies. if you can eat yogurt, you can eat my cottage cheese recipe.

I only recently started eating cottage cheese. The fatty in me just thinks "It's just like eating a big bowl of cheese!", and when I think of it that way, it's not so bad, heheh.

Nope. Don't know where you're coming from. I could sit down and eat a block of cheese without flinching. I love all cheese, except that nasty rotten French crap (Brie, etc...)
