Studying and Weightloss

Hey everyone,

One of my biggest problems when it comes to weight loss is that I cannot find time to exercise when I have finals, midterm or a big paper due. I dedicate all of my time to studying, which is great for my GPA but has been messing with my progress.

Anyone else have this problem? If so, how do you cope with managing exercising and school work?

A friend of mine many years ago told me that you don't "find" time for things that are important - you MAKE time.

Everyone has things in their lives that are important and take their time. Students especially have a lot of pressure. But if working out is important to you, then you'll make time to fit it into your schedule.

For me, exercise has to be an appointment with myself - something that I do that's mandatory, not optional. I make time to do the dishes. I make time to take a shower. I make time to pay my bills. I make time to cook food. And I make time to work out.

Otherwise, it's too easy to make excuses and let it slide.

I completely agree, you make time for the things that are important.

What I have done so far is walk from my home to the train station, the distance is about 1.6 miles on top of the 1 mile walk from the train station to school. A round trip is about 5.2 miles.

I actually like it when I'm exercising. I'm not sure how to describe it well, but that mood one gets when exercising is awesome.

Another obstacle is that most of the week I'm on campus (I don't live on campus), so I really can't hit the gym.
