I started my weight loss and fitness program a year ago. All I did was follow a 1200 cal diet plan (which I wasn't super strict about whether I had 1200 or 1500 cal) and work out with a personal trainer. For the record I am 41 lbs lighter than a year ago. However I am stuck. I've been stuck for 5 months. The beginning of February I started the HCG diet in an attempt to lose my final 20 lbs. I had a severe allergic reaction to the injections and my body totally rejected it. The first week I lost 9 lbs and then after that my weight wouldn't budge.
I was having a terrible allergic reaction that ended up making me very ill. We'll just say that I forgot about dieting for a week or two until my body recovered.
During my recovery I gained all the weight I lost on the hcg diet plus a couple lbs. So I started weight training again and went back to my previous diet.
What I'm finding is that its been very hard for me to stick to my 1200 cal since the hcg episode. I start feeling sick and I'm having trouble with cravings I didn't have before.
Before I could "cheat" and lose weight doing so. Now if I "cheat" I gain anywhere from .5 -2 lbs. And when I stick to my diet strict
My weight won't budge.
Now I work out 3 days a week with a personal trainer and if I was losing inches I wouldn't mind not losing lbs. But NOTHING. I'm totally frustrated.
So here's my info:
Height: 5'4 in
Weight: 156 lbs
Clothes: size 4/ small tops 8-10 bottoms
my diet is a basic 1200 cal diet. You eat a lot of protein, vegetables and fruit and not too many carbs.
With the trainer the routine is weights, plyometrics, pilates, yoga, Aerobic, calisthenics, isometrics and so on. It's a very well rounded routine.
If any one can give me some tips on breaking this plateau I'd appreciate it. Honestly, I've had this difficulty since the hcg diet and I dont know if it threw my body off. =\
Thanks!!!!
