Heya
I'm trying to get in shape and lose weight for like a month now , i exercise and eat as healthy as i can , also i don't restrict my calories or something.
During the day I eat really normal portions and feel satisfied after it , but when it's dinner time i feel like i have eternal hunger it seems , i could eat like 2 kg of potatoes ( yes i did that once lmao ) so i could eat more than 800 calories and still be hungry and i don't get why , and when i try to ignore it and eat a ,,normal,, portion i can't sleep at all , i lay in bed and i am so hungry that i feel like haven't eaten in forever , it just happened 2 days ago i laid in bed until 5 am and then just gave up and grap a shit ton of food. I feel like it's the only thing holding me back from loosing weight , and it just makes me want to cry ,i hate this .
Could my body maybe get used to it if i keep pushing myself too eat a ,,normal,, portion for dinner? ( but i still would have the sleeping problem then :( )

If you experienced the same or have any advices i would love to hear them !

Hi, Finibean. I think what you eat may be the problem. Do you eat much protein? Here is a link to an Australian site that explains why protein is so important & how much you need. Protein
Your question as to
so i could eat more than 800 calories and still be hungry
Well, yes. 800 calories are not enough. I think you would really benefit from seeing a nutritionist & understanding what you need to be consuming.

You burn calories when you Sleep. If your hungry @ night time you could easily collapse in bed without any food.I had the same problem.Eat to live not live to eat... eat something to boost your metabolism rate aswell :D Tea+toast?

i mean 800 calories for dinner not for the day!

Hi, I gave in to my hunger too...and felt bad about it until I discovered some snacks that not only filled me up...but were also healthy. Things like some veggie sticks with a hummus dip...or berries and yoghurt, or even tea. There are plenty of options out there, I guess the key for me was to make sure I had the healthy option snacks in the pantry/fridge.:)

I have been eating smaller portions and healthier options. I gave up soft drinks finally! Lol I’ve lost 21 lbs but I’m stuck there!
I was looking into something to break my plateau I hit. Ugh
Has anyone heard of 1 minute weight loss? I found an article and they say H.I.T high intensity training can be the trick to losing. I see they have cookbooks too that they offer. Anyone heard of it? What are your thoughts if you’ve tried it? Link removed

there are many opinions here i ignore, but this one is not only wrong, it is fear mongering. if you have any fat mass at all, you cannot collapse from hunger. what you are describing would be someone on the order of a holocaust survivor, not someone in need of weight loss. fasting can be an effective dieting tool, but i will agree it might not be for everyone, especially someone with unrelated medical problems.

you burn calories when you sleep, when you rest, when you breathe, when you merely live another day. that is, or is close to you RMR... your Resting Metabolic Rate. the amount of calories you need as a minimum to survive a day is called your Basal Metabolic Rate, but YOU DO NOT NEED TO EAT ANYTHING TO GET THESE CALORIES. that is one reason your body stores fat.
