Strong but not big

I have a question. I am wanting to get really strong and have a good looking body. The only thing is i am not wanting to be really big. I want to be as strong as those huge guys but not be as big. Is there a way to do this? :confused:
 
the best way to build strength is lower reps (1-5) with heavy weight. Do powerlifting workouts with low reps, low frequency, and high intensity. this will add some mass, but not like a mid rep (6-10) scheme will. how much mass it adds will depend on how many red and white muscle fibers the good Lord gave you.
 
Strength

Well buddy, you should try bodyweight exercises, look at Pavel on Dragon Door, he is very strong but not too big, lifting weights increases bulk but bodyweight exercises increases strength and toning.

When I was lifting weights I put on a few stone then I stopped and started boxing and bodyweight exercises, I lost some fat and stayed at a similar weight but I am far stronger now than when I used to lift weights even thought I have not put on any size.
