Stretch Marks

So...what to do? Extensive stretch marks all over my stomach even after losing 25lbs.
I read all over there are no cures. That they will become pale and white eventually. But when? What can speed the process up? Does massaging it and oiling it up really make ANY difference? Does anyone have any experience?

I haven't lost my weight yet but I have tons of stretch marks also. Mine are old now though at this point and I'm African American so our skin is different but mine have kind of blended more into my skin and don't look as prominent as before.

It took like a year after I gained the majority of my weight for them to not look raised and inflamed. I have heard that shea butter and vitamin E oils help and am going to try those soon.

Also I searched on YouTube and this product seems to have a lot of people who say it works: Trilastin. I haven't tried it personally so I can't tell you but from the testimonials on their site and on YouTube it seems to make some kind of difference.

Hopefully some people with positive experiences will respond here and help us out! :)

Yeah, but Trilastin is 80 bucks, with, what seems, very little proven result. Before I opt for that, I'll try the old olive oil rubbing...

I started getting stretch marks in grade 8 and have them everywhere! The worst ones are the ones on my arms because I can't always hide them. I hate to disappoint you but nothing will get rid of them. I have tried everything except lazer surgery. Bio oil helped a bit but it only faded them and as soon as I got a tan they were glowing white again. I've heard if you have red ones you can fade them but they will always be there. I recently tried the galvanic spa from NuSkin and although it tightened my arms the marks are still there. I saw a dermatologist a few years back and they told me they are hopeless. It's too bad too because I will never feel comfortable in a tank top and a bikinni will never be a possibility - even if I had a six pack because by belly is covered from under my boobs all the way down to my pelvic bone. I wish I could go back to when I was in gr.4 and change the way I lived. I think it has a lot to do with your genes too and with my skin I bruise really easy. I honestly don't think the oil will help any and it will just frustrate you - I'd tell you just to love them but I can't seem to do that myself either. Good luck.

this unfortunately is the case. shea butter does help the color though which helps hide them a lot
