Stretch marks?

I've got stretch marks from my weight gain on my tummy and on my waist and inner legs. I've tried using cocoa butter lotion but that hasn't worked. Anyone have any suggestions for what I could do to help the stretch marks fade quicker?

My stretch marks stay red until I lose the weight that caused me to get them. :( Most people's seem to fade without that measure, but maybe you're like me.

You can try Vitamin E oil. It can help reduce the appearance of "scars". You have to put it on religiously, like every single day monring and night.

I have them. The more weight I lose the more they fade. I started getting mine when I got my period at age 13. I got them everywhere. I had them really bad. They got worse when I was pregnant with my son. Im planning on getting a tummy tuck which will take care of some of them. Im ok with just hiding one scar..better than dozens of white and red marks. I also want to remove skin from my arms when I am done so by tucking it I should be able to get rid of those as well.

Hmmm, well thanks guys. I'll try the Vitamin E oil soon and see if that helps. I'm not too fond of the idea of tanning to make them go away. I try and avoid the sun without sun block on for the most part. I have really fair skin and I don't want to get skin cancer.

Get fat again?

No, no...umm, that wouldn't help. I don't know. I think a lot of it has to do with the elasticity of your skin, but I don't know of any products or lotions or things that can help with that. I'll probably have the same problem though. My body will look like a deflated Happy Birthday balloon after I lose weight...all wrinkled and limp.

I have no idea about this as I haven't tried it but I have heard people recommend something called Bio-oil or something to that degree. I saw it recently in Walmart.

Hey gaelic, I'm really fair skinned as well and developed stretch marks when I was heavier. I've done quite a bit of research, and there're no magic products to eliminate them. The good news is, though, they do fade with time and weight loss.

Hello,
I have heard many good things about Coca Butter they sell in Boots and Superdrug. It's about £2.20 a bottle and smells really nice.

From what I heard it's supposed to help alot.

Cold pressed virgin coconut oil works wonders for all skin care. It is natural and good for every day care. Brilliant on stretch marks!

I never, ever bother with lotions of any kind, whats the point with all the crap they add to them?
