Alright so basically for some background information, i'm a 15 year old male in highschool. I'm involved in Cross Country, Basketball, and soccer. Now to the injury..
On October 1st, I strained my external obliques on my left hip. I had the injury diagnosed by a physical therapist about 3 weeks after injuring it, after avoiding athletics for that time. I went to the PT for a few weeks for rehab, and was "fully healed" and ready to get back out on the court at sometime in the beginning of November. I immediately re-injured myself the next day. So I have a few questions:
1. After being out for 2 months, how much damage has truly been done to my cardio, and how long will it take to get that level of fitness back?
2. I am able to jog/slow run on it with little soreness the next morning, but sprinting gives me issues. What is the best way to heal this and how long should this take? I want to get this fully healed, I don't want to re-injure it for the second time.
3. Has anyone had any similar injuries and would care to tell me how they went along with getting it healed up?
