Strained Calf

Hey everyone, this weekend I slightly pulled my calf while playing softball and not warming up enough prior to. It's not too bad and I have it wrapped so I'm not limping in my normal walk, but I can feel it twinge from time to time.

Does anyone have any ideas on cardio I can do at home (no gym membership) that won't risk increasing the severity of the injury? I'm also curious how long I should baby it.

First question: the only cardio activity that I can think of that won't aggravate much is swimming. As for the second question, I would wait at least a week and see if there is any tenderness. My rule of thumb that I follow after an injury is to not do anything until there is zero tenderness. Any tenderness at all means it could be re-aggravated and set you back further.

Thanks guys. It's been just over a week now and it's not really tender the same but seems to cramp a little easier so I'm just staying a bit light on it. Still good info for future reference. Thanks again.
