Still Hungry,

Hello all,

I am 6 feet 175 pounds. About every second night I go to the gym work out for a couple of hours which includes weights, streching and cardio. When I get back at around 10 I have the following shake.
2 scoops of Whey protein (20grams per scoop)
Water and banana shake

I then usually have an orange.

I would think that would be enough but 1 hour later I am hungry again, and if I dont even something, usually a yogurt I am starving sometime in the night.

Am I getting enough protein from the shake above, should I be eating more. I am not really looking to gain weight but just keep my weight and tone up.

Starting to wonder how effective the protein really is

Most protein powders tend to have isolate in them and it's a fast acting protein, absorbing quickly. The idea behind the liquid post workout nutrition is to hit the "window of opportunity." Eating 45-120 minutes is about right and since it's later at night and you prob don't want to cook up a bunch of stuff (not to mention be digesting a bunch of stuff trying to sleep), have a cup of cottage cheese and a serving of vegetables.
