Steppers?

Hello. I am currently 14 stone and 5ft 10 male 22 years old. I saw a picture of myself recently and got incredibly depressed. So last week I decided to make a change and lose this once and for all. I have basically been eating incredibly well and have completely cut out fatty foods, crisps, chocolate, take away food, and most importantly for me milk, as I lived on the stuff. I have lost 3 lbs already without exercise, however I want to start sweating a bit. I have no room for anything big and have heard good things about steppers, basically anything that will make me sweat and burn calories. I am looking at this to buy tomorrow. Basically my question is would this be sufficient to burn fat?

Then I was thinking, would this burn more calories? It seems like it has much lower impact.
