Hello Everyone!

Like all of you, I am here for motivation. I am currently a 23 year old female, and have been wanting to lose weight for about the past 5 years...and here I am - still around the same weight range, not much progress.

I am 5'4" and approx. 152lbs. I love to workout and have been doing so for years.
My current routine is as follows ( I switch it up every couple months):
Monday - Lots of cardio (1 hour - 1.5 hours)
Tuesday - Cardio (45 mins) & abs
Wednesday - Biceps and back + 30 mins cardio
Thursday - shoulders + 30 mins cardio
Friday - chest & triceps + 30 mins cario
Saturday - legs + 30 mins cardio
Sunday - off day - but I usually run 3 miles or bike 7 miles this day

With all of that, I still manage to maintain or gain weight - BUT - thats because of my food intake. Diet is my main problem. I am VERY into fitness and nutrition information, I just have a hard time APPLYING the nutrition aspect. I will do good for about a week and then the weekend will hit and thats when it all goes downhill....

Anyhow...I know what NEEDS to be done. I just need the motivation and support to do it and stick with the nutrition aspect. As with most people, I want to SEE results right away - but I know thats not the case and these things take time. One quote that I love is from a trainer who was speaking to a client: The client wanted to see results right away and was complaining about the time it takes for results to show. The trainer told her " you have been eating like a pig for 30 years, you cannot expect to undo that in a week or two..." I know it may sound harsh to some of you... but when you think about it, it really does make a lot of sense.

Anyhow..I will being taking "before" pics soon and posting them. My goal weight is 125-130.

:waving:

Yesterday went well as far as eating goes...I am determined to keep this up. I still have to take "before" photos and post, but I will get to that soon!

Welcome

Hi,

With how much exercise you do, as soon as you control your eating habits your gonna be a weight losing machine!!!! :)

Keep up the good work

:seeya:

I don't work out as much as you do, but the eating part is definitely what is holding me back. You will be a weight loss machine though when you do start to have a calorie deficit. Can't wait to see your progress, good luck!

Thanks :) I am excited to see the results when I have lost some of it ! I cant wait to take befores so that I can post them and have something to compare to! I am going to take them tonight or tomorrow ...I just need to get my hands on a camera...

:) Well, it helped that I used to have a fitness model as a roomate - I learned a lot about working out and nutrition from her...

This weekend is my first actual challenge...I am going into the city for the weekend (NYC) and they have MANY great eateries, bakeries, etc...I will have to resist temptation and find a healthy option while I am there !
