Eh...I have some P90X dvd's sitting right here. Come the new year, they will probably be in the same place.
P90X is a workout program that utilizes primarily bw exercises with some added resistance, like pilates bands, and light weights.
Light weights? In the musculature workouts tony horton, the trainer, tells you to use the correct amount of weight to maintain good form while bringing yourself to the point of failure between 8 - 10 reps for size and between 12 - 15 reps for lean definition.
Sounds like the common misconception that you can somehow tone your muscle with higher reps. Just fyi, you becoming "lean" and attain greater "definition" by lower body fat percentage. If you have muscle, it's there. You have to cut fat to see it. It won't magically become flexed up if you do 12-15 reps.Light weights? I don't think so. I am lifting heavier than I ever have in my life. If you were to dust off your p90x dvds and try the program out as its layed out and bring the intensity to your workouts by lifting heavy I bet you will have a different opinion.
Anyone starting p90x Jan 1? Looking for a parner to email how its going? I'm actually atarting Monday, the 31st.
