Hi,

I would say welcome, but i see you've joined WLF early than I have, so that wouldn't be right.
Congrats on the pregnancy!

Just wanted to say you can do this, you've proven it before. This time you just keep going right? Get into a routine of working out and eating right. Make it your new lifestyle.

Go BB, you can do it :)

Hi Bill
You have chosen to become a healthy father. That's the most important step.
Congrats on that!
I'm with you all the way, I eat when I am stressed or bored too, am 312 lbs and sick of being one of the fattest mothers at my boy's preschool.

Deciding to do this for your child and wife is fantastic--what a great motivation! Imagine all the stuff you'll be able to do as a family if you are healthier! Your food is looking good as well! Keep it up!

Hi Bill, thanks for popping into my thread. I just read through yours.

First off, good for you for wanting to improve yourself for your wife and child. After letting my kids be raised by a morbidly obese man for the first several years of their lives, I began to see some disturbing behavioral changes in the way they ate and played that made me want to lead by a better example. It's pretty hard to tell them to eat/live better when they're watching me do it so poorly. Since shifting my lifestyle, ALL of my family has taken on some new healthier habits. It's a worthwhile change for everyone's benefit, Bill.

I don't know if you have another thread, but from this one I have a couple of questions... How old? How tall? Any significant health issues other than the weight? How did you lose the 80 lbs last time?

I'll say that the difference for me this time (compared to previous attempts) is that I really believed this was the beginning of a NEW life, not an interruption to the one I already had. Gone are the days of all you can eat buffets, thirds at dinner time, eating half a container of ice cream, polishing off a sack of chips at 11 pm. I can still eat chips and ice cream, but like everything else, only in moderation.

Since you invited input, here are my observations about what you've posted so far. Generally, good balance of carbs, proteins, and fruits/veg. Maybe a little protein heavy. Find a good online calorie calculator and try adding up your intake for a week to see where you're coming in. For me, you eat too much too late in the day. That was my curse, too. The biggest changes I made to my lifestyle were
1) I eat early every day.
2) My biggest meal is earliest, and my smallest meal is latest
3) Carbs and proteins are better earlier for me, and I eat more fruit and veg later.
4) Watch the sodium -- I basically avoid MOST pre-made foods (like lunch meat or frozen foods) because of the sodium.
5) I drink a sh*tload of water. Then drink some more.
6) I stop eating every day by 6-7 pm. If I do eat later, I eat something like celery in peanut butter or radishes.

I hope that isn't too much info. Hang in there Bill. You can do this, because you have. Once you turn the machine around, it'll keep going in your favor unless you do something to stop it. Don't kill the momentum with a midnight binge of 500 calories.

Keep it up!

Thank's Don for the reply. I am 26 years old 6'4 and yes I have High blood pressure for a few years now.I have done it before and I know I can get it done again to me its alot to do with mind over matter. I see it I want it,I screw up a little,I give up the rest of the day. I know it is not suppose to be this way but it happens to me like that often ESPICALLY right before bed I go into this binge mode get my gut all full and then sleep wich is the worse thing to do. I think alot of this is to do with my work schedule. My shift is from 3pm-11pm. I keep asking myself what am I doing diffrent this time then last time and can't seem to remeber, but I do know I was takeing this amp pills from gnc and they were packed with caffenine and kept me energized all day,but once I stopped I went into this depression mode and I realized it was from them pills,so I decided I want to do it with out them this time but it seems twice as hard to get that ball rooling again. Thank's for all the info and I appreciate your reply.

Hey Bigbill
Hang in there, you can do this :) My husband and I starting eating Raw fruits and veggies for the first 2 meals of the day, then a protein with 2 cooked veggies for dinner. We have raw fruit or veggies in between meals. I have to say, it really cuts the craving thing down. Anyway, good luck!! AND congrats on the baby on the way!

Thank's Kasey ok It has been a couple days since I posted my weight in was 381.4 saturday wich was a lost but I know I could have done way better. I didn't do any work at the gym fri, sat, sun but today and yesterday I did my normal cardio routine. I am determined to fight the late night binge eating this week and if I can do that it would help alot with my motivation to keep fighting back.

That's a very good plan Bill :)
I found, at the beginning of my diet that the most important was to focus on the diet, avoid eating anything than what was planned/less than my 1500 cal. Weight loss will come, also without exercise. There were a couple of days where I just knew I had to ignore exercise and put it all in to adapting to my new eating routine.
You are doing great, don't choke trying to do perfect.

Thank's Clarissa. I have been doing good since moday no late night eating. I am so happy to complete these two days, I been trying to eat a little more fruit or something healthy before I get off work and drink lots of water. I did my normal cardio today and am feeling great so far.I added a ticker and my first big acoomplishment was to get under 300lbs.

Nice effort breaking eating habits!
In the beginning I was obsessing with the candy in the pantry, now I rarely think about it. It's amazing how quickly one can adapt and become good at saying no to oneself.
