Started it all today.

Well today I started my Diet and Exercise routine. I started the morning with a multi-vitamin and some hydroxycut, then had half of a sandwhich on wheat bread.

I went out and got me some waters, flavored, propel, vitamin water to replace the soda and stuff since I wont be drinking that anymore.

Had the other half of the sandwhich for lunch, then took my other dose of hydroxycut and hr before heading to the gym.

Got to the gym and waited in line to use the treadmill..(lol never seen that one comming). I usd the treadmill for 25mns, then hit that (i forget the name of it but its like standing and riding a bike with the ski arm type things that go back and forth) Used that for a few mins, then went back to the treadmill for another 15mins. I stayed busy on the machines for an hour then went home and had a chicken breast and some salad.

Now I could be doing this totally wrong, so if anyone has any advice or anything I'm all ears.

Vitamin water isn't really any better for you than soda is... do read labels and make sure you account for those calories... And Propel - with it's sugar substitutes, has an interesting effect on some people... be careful with it.

as for advice..
Dump the hydroxy cut..

Read the stickied threads... start in on topic - and go to nutrition and exericse next.. there's a lot of info that will help you..

You should do some research on nutrition and diet and probably the best place to start is the My Pyramid website. Tons of great information there and it's free. A balanced diet with a calorie deficit is much more important than any supplement you can ever purchase. Calorie deficit doesn't cost anything and it's the only true way to weight loss and being able to keep the weight off.

A Britta water pitcher and filter system is a much better investment than all the designer waters available. It'll cost you about $25 at Wally World and you fill it with regular tap water and it ends up tasting great and you don't contribute to greenhouse gases and don't make waste that will never decompose.

Not to nitpick, because I think you gave him good advice, but the negative effects of High Fructose Corn Syrup found in most soda on your metabolism is becoming more apparent, despite what corn subsidies would like you to think . Even Gatorade uses that crap, which is the only reason I drink Vitamin water myself.

Let's get one thing straight though, nothing is better than water alone. If you're drinking Vitamin water, do it because you like the taste and use it as a substitute for soda entirely. Don't try and live on the stuff though, it's just sugar water. Take a multivitamin and drink a glass of water. You'll be much better off in my opinion.

I do love the taste of Vitamin Water, especially the Orange-Orange, but the only reason I drink it over Gatorade and other sports drinks is because they use real sugar, and it has less overall calories. I try and limit myself to one of these per day though. If you're getting the right nutrition before and after your workout, you shouldn't need a sports drink.
