It's hard for me to really think of a good goal...at first it was 220 lbs. And for a 23 year old guy like me 6'2, 220 seemed pretty good. The best shape of my life was 200 when I was 18 in the Air Force. I calculated my BMI and it says I should be at 194 max...Can this even be done? Right now im running 5 days a week on my elliptical for an hour. It calculates me running 8 miles in 60 min. Burning 930 calories. I am watching what I eat...and while im proud of the 25 pounds I have lost im just afraid that im not doing enough to get where i need to be and I really don't have much time for more than my run...I work ALL day. Any encouragement or advice would be appreciated.

Keep doing what your doing!! Its just going to take time!! I have noticed the elliptical doesnt seem to be 100% accurate. I used to run 5-6 miles on it, then i went to run and i could hardly run a mile. Just a thought! But good job keep us updated as much as possible! take some pictures of before to see your progress

Well don't get too hung up on the whole BMI thing. For example, Evander Holyfield had a BMI over 30 when he was heavy weight champion of the world. Basically guys with quite a bit of muscle will usually have a BMI over 25 and maybe even over 30. If I were you I would focus on body fat percentage and physical fitness. In other words, are you in good cardiovascular shape and are you getting stronger. For guys, between 14 and 16 percent is ideal. 12 to 14 is really looking good and 10 to 12 is really looking toned. Below 10 is really cut and toned and quite hard for many guys to achieve but not impossible. You "could" get to 195 but you may not have to. If I were you, I would go get a skin fold fat percentage measurement.
