HELLO!! i'm very new to this forum and i need some help and motivation to lose some weight. here's a little about me...
i'm 25 years old with a 6 year old son (7 on may 16th) and i finished nursing school about 4 months ago. during my year and a half of nursing school i managed to gain about 20lbs :(

i'm 5'3" and 157lbs
i want to get down to about 130-135

i've been dieting and exercising since last saturday but since i'm starting this today i'll just go from here...

today i ate:

breakfast: 1 slice of toast with reduced fat peanut butter
Lunch: turkey breast 6" sub from subway
Dinner: chicken breast and broccoli

wish me luck... i need the motivation.
if anyone has any tips please let me know :D
 
Welcome! I'm in my first week here, but people have made me feel so welcome here, this is a wonderful site! The first thing I would suggest you do is go over to sparkpeople.com and start an account. I've found it to me a major motivator just to have such an easily accessible way to track what I'm doing. Motivation is my biggest problem, but I feel at a point right now where I either do it now or I probably never will. I hope you can find some inspiration and motivation here. Good luck on your weight loss journey! :D

Welcome to the WLF :D

Good for you for getting started toward reacing your goals! Sometimes just taking that first step is really hard!

Know that you CAN do this - make sure your diet is not too restrictive, that you're eating enough calories (10-12 cals per pound of body weight) and move :)

You'll find your motivation as you start seeing success - it's catchy that way ;)
 
hello!! i was doing pretty good on my exercise and diet for a few days then i started getting really stressed out because i've been waiting for the results for my state board exam so i pretty much ate everything in sight. i got my results on saturday and i passed!! so i celebrated all weekend and ate some more! =( . i was about to skip the spinning and abs classes at the gym today but i read the messages on here and it got me motivated again! so i went to the gym, did the classes and i feel great. thank you for the support.. it really helps out a lot and got me back on track
 
:( . i'm not doing very well on my diet and excercise. i went to the gym on monday and today but nothing in between. and i've been eating worse :(
