Squeezable Gel Balls?

Any opinions on whether using those little balls with gel in them that you use to squeeze (Good for stress relievers and hand muscle buildup supposedly) are any good or useful at all? For someone who doesn't play baseball or anything that would require having a really firm grip.
 
I love to prescribe them for people who sit at a computer all day for work.
When people are seated all day at a computer, they have the tendency to develop a rounded shoulders/head forward position.
By having them sit with the squeeze ball tucked under their chin, it automatically pulls their head/neck back into a better position, re-training the postural muscles.
