squatting beginner

im 15, 5' 8'', and 175...im starting to put together a weight training program, and i wanna kno how much i should start with if im doing squats...i have a barbell pad and ive tried it out and i know i can go heavier than the current 60 i was gunna use...so how much should i start with?

Theres not one set weight that everyone should start out with. To know where you stand, gradually add weight (in small increments) for each set. If 60 is easy, try 70, then 80, and so on.

Very true, ensure your form is 100% before progressing.

how much weight really depends on your goals, get your form 100% like said above, and then try to find your 1rm (be careful doing this) then from that you can calculate how much to lift.. like, for strenght you should lift atleast 80% of your 1rm. so if your 1rm is 100 (just an example) your 80% would be 80kg so you would have to work with 80kg or above to gain strenght ;)
