Spare Tire Deflaters ~ A spin on Valapalooza's suggestion of the spare tires. You might have a spare tire now, but we are working on getting rid of them! LOL!

Please post your starting weight IN POUNDS PLEASE sometime on Monday. This challenge will run until Monday, July 24. I realize that because of time differences, people will be checking in at different times, but you will need to have checked in by early Tuesday morning (my time).

Each member needs to post in this thread at least once every three days. If you do not, you may be dropped from the challenge. If something comes up and you need to be gone for awhile, please let your team members know. Please do not leave the responsibility to me to make sure that all of your team members are posting regularly. I will be checking in with each team but I cannot always keep up with everyone. Please let me know if you think someone has jumped ship. (Maybe we can throw them a life preserver? ;) )

Please keep this clean. I encourage friendly competition. Please do not post rude comments in the competing teams' threads or diaries. The posts will be deleted if anyone does so and that person may be dropped from the challenge.

More will follow later about the postcards or ecards. Have I included everything? Let me know if there are any questions.

Hi guys! I weighed in this morning slightly higher than I've been the past couple of days... I hope it's just water weight or something- but the scale said 242. I'm all about deflating my spare tire... Let's lose some weight!!!

76 kg is 167 lbs. Anyways, I thought I would stop in and say good luck to the Spare Tire Deflaters. :D

Hey there- While we are definitely getting some good results, I don't think too many of us are getting fast results. Taking the pounds off slowly helps guarantee that you'll KEEP it off instead of gaining it back and then some! What have you been trying to do so far to lose weight? Maybe that will help me give you some advice.

So today I made sure my diet was relatively low calorie. I had a banana, an apple, a broccoli/cauliflower/red pepper dish for lunch, brown rice & a lean cuisine chicken meal for dinner. I drank a decent amount of water (80 oz) - not exactly half of my body weight, but not too bad. I did a one-mile workout video/walk this morning before work. After work I did 1 1/2 dance workout videos and my "chiseling" video with my friend (lower and upper body toning). I just got back from a light 1 mile walk around the neighborhood with my boyfriend and my dog. I am definitely stepping it up for this challenge!
 
Ok, Spare Tire Deflaters! Obviously, we are still waiting for 2 of your members. I'm trying to give them as much time as possible because I hate to kick anybody to the curb, but I'm gonna have to soon. I've got 2 others who contacted me this morning and I will probably add them both here if your others are no shows. The new ones have already given me their morning weigh ins. :D
 
To get into this challenge I'm going to be...

exercising 6 days a week
getting 1200 net cals a day
eating more veg to boost my metabolism

Yesterday I did not do so well in that I took in around 1400cals but at the same time didn't exercise. This was down to me going swimming and discovering I'd forgotten my swimsuit (do not think a naked swim would be good at this stage). Anyway I drank 3300mls of water and as a result I'm down by 0.5lb today!:D I'll update my diary later with everything I ate!
 
Good morning team. I hope everyone had a good start yesterday. For this 2 week challenge I am going to try to work out more. I’ve been doing 5-6 days a week, but I was thinking of doing twice a day to boost it up. I am also doing weights 3 times a week. Yesterday, I jogged/walk 2.5 miles for 35 minutes, weights (20 minutes), bike riding 3.5 miles (20 minutes). I am also trying to eat healthy and small portions. I am getting in more veggies and fruits. This past weekend I blew it :eek: , so I hope I survive these 2 weeks.
Finally, I am drinking lots of H2O.


Hold on strong. Together we can do it. :D

You are too funny! It sounds like you have a good plan outlined for yourself for the next two weeks.

Gothika, how long have you been working out 6 days a week? And how long do you work out for each of those days. I've been working out every other day, but I decided to step it up for the challenge and switch to every day as well.
 
Hey everyone! I've got two new spare tire deflaters for you! ;) They both sent me their starting weights early yesterday and were patiently waiting for me to find them a group. Looks like Troutman and SarahL are no shows. :(
