Hey runner girl. Personally I'd stay away from fad dieting and concentrate more a 'healthy' diet. Good raw foods, not processed, all that good stuff...

healthy eating????????????????

i am so far gone from just "healthy eating" what is that any more?
what do you eat in a tipical day. and do you have any suggestions on how i can looooooooossssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeee!

eggs/egg whites
cottage cheese
fruits/veggies
tuna
chicken
salmon
whole wheat breads/pastas
Oatmeal
Natural peanut butter

why don't you post a typical day for you, stats like height, weight, activity level, body fat etc and then let the pros help you out! (i'm not one of them LOL)

If you are eating a lot of the right foods, then try focusing more on proper portion control. A serving of meat is about the size of a deck of cards, or the palm of your hand, eat most things in 1/2 cup servings (except cheese, olive oil, and the like). Focus on low-non fat dairy, lean meats, tuna packed in water. Try to keep all your breads and pastas whole wheat, eat brown instead of white rice, drink more water instead of any sodas or sugary drinks.

Following this book or that will rarely lead to a long term healthy change. Also, check out it has the new USDA guidelines. It isn't a diet focusing on weight loss so much as overall health, however, when your body is healthier it tends to function better, including maintaining a healthy weight.
