Sore rhomboids

I hurt my rhomboids when I was working for a supermarket, lifting boxes. This was about a month ago

The pain has greatly decreased but still 'tingles'. I have no idea what the problem is as heat packs and massaging makes the pain go away temporarily but will not make it leave permanently.

I plan on seeing a doctor but they are annoyingly expensive over here, is there anything I can to fix it on my own?

Sorry,I don't know that what exactly should you do to get rid of that but I
want to share some info about it .The rhomboid muscles, located between the scapula and vertebral column, lie deep to the trapezius. These muscles are almost always involved in neck problems because of their location (antigravity muscles along the spine, running across gravity) and action (as adductors and elevators of the scapula). Also, these muscles have a large pain referral path up to the neck. Many other muscles such as the scalenus, located on the anterior, lateral neck, and deep to the sternocleidomastoid and trapezius, are restricted in range of motion (ROM) and will contribute greatly to neck discomfort. You can check it out for further information at
