Sometimes not sore: A bad sign?

Hey All,

Everytime I work out, I definitely feel the "burn" or whatever. But sometimes, the day after, my muscles do NOT feel sore. Sometimes they do. It is completely random and I cannot figure out what is being done differently on the days.

If I am not sore the next day, does this mean something was done wrong? Possibly the muscle did not tear enough? Or could it just be that I have intaken so much wonderful protein by that time that the repairs have already begun?

Any advice is welcome.

Thanks.

do not base your training off soreness, base it off progress. soreness deals more with conditioning than anything else.

i agree with abear. Soreness is not an indication that you have had a good workout. and on the days you are sore, you might just not have had as good recovery methods as the days you are not sore. i usually just get sore if i try a new exersice.. like now when im starting olympic lifting.. i get sore because my body is not used to it;)

why do you want to be sore and why would you want to tear your muscles enough...lol

there are many factor that influence the muscle soreness and that is no benchmark for strength increase

the fact that you're feel the burn during the workout is just enough to ensure that ur working hard at it
