Someone tell me what else to do.

I'm looking for help with my diet. First of all is my ocupation, which is construction. I get up early , about 5:30 or 6:00 and usualy work 8 to 10 hours. Work ranges from light ,or what I concider light which is painting to hard wich is roofing or concreet. I have no idea how many cals I use; tried useing a ped meader but it only went to 9999 on the screen and there fore quit befor I ever remberd to look at it. When I get home I try to walk , if i'm not to tired or have time. This is mostly 2 to 4 miles a day. From my best guess is 1800 to 2200 cal a day that I take in; mostly veges and lean meats. I try to drink about a gallon of watter a day and my curent drink of choice is green tea; it used to beer 12 to 24 a night, the reason for my weight which in Feb was 269 now its 236. Someone pleese tell me if this sounds good and what else I nead to do. PS sory for the spelling Im terable at this!!!
 
You have got to be kidding me!:) I think you are doing absolutely fantastic. I would drop dead if I would have that much physical activity every day. Do you notice any difference in your weight? What is your goal for weight loss? I think you are taking enough calories, have plenty of exersice, plenty of water - everything sounds great! You should have great results very soon.:)
 
you burn a lot of calories at work, so sounds like you'rein a good range now.. i woudln't drop much lower than that...

The water drinking is excellent and cuttting out the beer is also good - 12 - 24 beers in an evening is A LOT of extra calories.. just cutting back on that will make a world of difference.

Sounds like you're doing exactly what you need to be doing... and the weight is slowly coming off...

you might want to consider using an on line food journal - like or to accurately record your calories.. sometimes we take in a lot more than we think we do...

Thank you Coco and maleficent. My gole is to get to 170-175 I was at 166 in 2000 but my wife told me I looked terable so I slacked of on working my self to death; work plus 2 to 3 hours in gim. I am belt quite big so this weight is quite lo for me. thanks for the help.
 
I like fitday because I can record everything I eat....and I just love the days when I find that I'm 100 or so calories short of my 1200 goal and I can eat a little something extra!!!

(that was yesterday--YUM!)
