Someone PLEASE HELP me with weight loss & exercise, confused here!!

Hello Everybody!
i am new here on the forum
i am desperate and need help here!!
PLEASE HELP ME
i have gotten soo confused by reading soo many article on the internet
here who i am, please read and please help me

I am 16 years old,male 5'9 and weigh 228 pounds
i am on summer vacation now, and ready to lose weight
i have recently joined a gym close to me to lose weight in the summer
basically i want to lose as much weight as i can untill september, when i am in my new clases and want people to respect me instead of that silent fatass. I also avoid sitting with girls or being close to one as i am fat and she might wanna get away from me. Basically I have lost my cofidence. I am willing to DO ANYTHING to lose that weight

i am very confused by reading soo many article on the internet about weight loss and all of them claim different things. One say that you can lose one pound a day while the other say no more then 2 pounds a week is good. Articles can be soo confusing and also there are soo many diet that i am tired now. some artcle also suggest if you eat very less, you might be able to lose weight slowly then if you eat at normal amount, your cells would work and you would lose weight easily. i dont want this to happen to me too

i have 10 weeks (65 days) to lose as much as i can. I am hoping for losing 40-60 pounds in that time. I am thinking about exercise 4 hours a day including 1 hour of weight training 5 days a week. Can also do more hours if required.

I am sticking with danish diet for 13 days, right here which is good for your metabolism and you also lose weight, then i will continue with negative calories concept diet, basically eat food all the time.

Is negative calories food concept true. Is it possible to lose calories while you eat more, Here the list of fruit and vegetable that come in negavtive foods. Is the food in this catogory better to eat more and more to lose more calories or to eat as less as possible so tht you dont feel hungry and still have the samll amount of calories in you.

I have been working out on the tread mill and ellipticle machine in the gym,and they have two program fat burn and cardio. i dont know hich ones to choose from if i want to lose more weight. in many articles it says to lose fat you must spent a lot of time on fat burn to lose more weight. Cardio will build your muscle. any suggestion as to what heart rate i should be at to lose the maximum amount of fat/weight. So should i spent those 3 hours on high intensity (cardio) program or spent 6 hours on the low intensity (fat burn) program. Which one would be better to lose more fat/weight. Yes i am this desperat to lose weight and since its summer, i am doing this like a job, a job of losing weight.

please give me advice on this fat burn and cardio excercise, which i better

please if you can tell me about a diet that you can fastest lose weight.

and again is negative calories food concept true and the diest i am following good enought.

Basically tell me if my plan would enable me to lose the most weight in shortest amount of time

and can someone also tell me how much calries i should take in one day after i am off the danish diet since i would also be burning them

Dany, hey,

Firstly, you're starting off on the right foot by being so enthusiastic about losing the weight you'd like to lose. But don't set your sights too high...getting into shape takes time and committment, and you should think of it as "getting in shape" or "getting healthier and stronger," not just "losing weight." It's an entire lifestyle change you have to be willing to make, and it sounds like you're heart is there - now it's your body's turn.

Unfortunately none of the certified trainers on here can really give you a foolproof plan on how to get in shape. Anything we tell you is technically not legal to tell you if we get into any detail and make you a fitness program without assessing your health, etc. So here's the BEST advice you can get on this forum:

Go to the gym you've already gotten a membership with, and talk to a personal trainer there, even if it costs you a little extra money. TRUST ME! Even six weeks with a trainer can change your entire life. They can help you a million times more than we can. And please let me know your progress, I'm interested in how serious you are about this :)

GOOD LUCK!

- Lauren

This is far too long :p

heyy
ok this is a long one, so get comfy and read this when ya got energy.

wat the person before me said ... its good to be enthusiastic and motivated ... but you dont want to set your expectations insanely high because losing weight is all about knowing the right pace at the right times . it's just something u gota start ... and just keep going.
The #1 thing for losing weight is to eat properly. this means healthy and watching calories. U have to control wat you eat ... u dont want to starve yourself ... u want to get in the right amount of carbs, protein even certain fats (mono, poly) into your diet.

As everybody knows.. to lose weight .. you must expend (burn) more calories than you consume. Its a good idea to know how many calories you intake per day ... and how much you expend.
A guy like you should not consume below 1400-1500 calories a day.
What you should do is go on the internet and research all you can about metabolism, carbs/protein/fats, and find sites that can tell you how many calories are in foods liek chicken breasts, eggs, beef, fish ect. After awhile u can remember the calories in these foods and be able to count the calories you consume each day. so you dont go over your limit. it will give you a good start.

Eating 5 small meals a day is much more beneficial than 3 big ones because the more you eat, the higher your metabolism stays up .. and the higher its up .. the more calories you burn when sitting around/walking up the stairs/sleeping/exercising .. u get the point.
It will be hard for you to retain this all because its all in writing and alot at once .. but just try to get a platform to start from when you read this. Research deeper into it and you will gain much more.

carbs and protein, you want these. They are your friends ... especially if your weightlifting. Protein is the key for gaining muscle mass and repairing muscle tissue. Carbs are the key for energy and your body needs them. U dont need to go carb crazy ... but you want a moderate amount of carbs in your diet. Now this is sort of a diet for bodybuilders ... but it is a very good way for gaining muscle and losing weight. you want a good amount of protein in your diet ... it also helps u shed those pounds. There are protein powders at your local nutrition stores. They are exellent supplments for protein ... i use protein powder and it helps get more protein in my diet. U cant just rely on this powder though ... u still must eat protein foods such as chicken, tuna, eggs ect.. (research).

about all those ads about LOSING 20 LBS IN 20 DAYS .... ignore them. they are unrealistic and it is all media hype.
You want a plan where you can lose maybe 2 pounds a week, 3 if you like. but if you want to lose more ... dont think u need to eat less calories ... decide that you have to just maybe run a little harder when you excercise and a bit longer.

its just about having a diet and after awhile you'll get used to it and be able to follow it easier. (it can be a bit tricky at the start .... so when you really crave those junky foods ... just try your best to hold back)

next thing is exercising ... do as much as possible. Play many sports ... go for walks when your bored. For my im working out every second day ... mon/wed/fri because you need around 36-48 hours between weight training workouts .. for your muscles to repair themselves and build. In between these workout times i like to run about an 8km run non stopping (to keep the heart up)...but you should start at a smaller distance .. not as vigerous at the start ... and work your way up, thats wat i did. i started with a 4km jog/walk ... with breaks in between ... then i got comfortable i started to run the whole 4 km ... then when i knew i could handle more ... i would run 4km ... then walk another 4km ... to run 6km then walk 2 ... until i got to running 8km.
the more you run the easier it gets too ... so just keep on truckin.
its also great if you have sports u like that are active ... that is an exellent way ... things like skateboarding or soccer ect are great because they are fun and you really can get a workout.. you just have to try hard. make yourself sweat, its a good indicator that your working hard.
for your heart rate ... your target heart rate is the heart rate at which u burn the most fat. go to an online heartrate calcultor and find this out... then after and in your runs measure your heart rate and if its too low .... start pickn it up .. and if its too high .. just slow things down a little. its good to keep your heartrate up when exercising ... the more your heart has to pump blood faster to your muscles in your body ... the more energy it will need ... meaning the more calories your burning.
A really important factor for losing weight is to keep a high metabolism ..... you know those people you know who eat like a horse yet always stay skinny ....thats the result of having a high metabolism.
if you can keep your BMR (research it) high ... then your gona burn alot more calories than someone with a low one. Like i said earlier ... this is why 5 meals a day is better than 3.
wow .. i could add many other things .. but this has really become too long, and im not a great typer (heh). And its just to hard to inform you with everything in one blow.

1.Get a healthy diet going for yourself (never starve yourself)
2.exercise as much as you can (dont over do it until exhaustion)
3.Keep your head up ... u can go thru weeks not thinking your making any progress but you are .. believe me.
4.when working out .. do not work out the next day .. give yourself time and rest for rejuvination and growth of the muscles and get your protein.
5.email me if u have ne questions.
