Somebody to join in on the struggle

Hi. I'm Jana and I was so happy to discover this forum. I was Googling the internet for motivation to keep up with my exercise and this is what I found. I browsed the forum and was amazed to finally find something that may MOTIVATE me to shed my extra pounds and FINALLY be the leaner, happier me I've always dreamed of being! I find that people around me don't motivate me. They encourage me to eat unhealthy foods and keep telling me NOT to exercise. I need people around me that are trying to do what I am doing: change my lifestyle for the better, fitness and eating-wise. I am 21 years old - 140 pounds. My height is 5'7 or 5'8. I'm a healthy eater. I don't live on carrots and celery but chocolate comes into the picture occasionally. I am aiming to lose 20 pounds - but I'm more eager to feel thinner in my clothes and see my body toned than shedding off the pounds! I started my exercise program 17 days ago. I exercise 4-5 days a week for 30 minutes/session. I do different programs on the elliptical machine. I also do random numbers of set-ups and leg lifts afterwards. I hope this forum will help me to stay motivated and I hope that if I am successful, I am able to motivate others and help put them at ease with their weight loss struggles.

hi jana^^
this forum is great for motivation =D
you will find alot of sweet, genuine people here.
=T it always sucks when you dont have a supportive
group of people in you life from day to day...
i know my family took a while to jump on the bandwagon
and help me... because they figured it was another one
of my fad... 3 day crashes... where i do too much at once,
become overwhelmed... and quit! D:

but wow 17 days on your own... thats great! ^^
keep it up and you will get to where you want to be!

Thanks hun. It's nice to already hear words of encoragement. I can't wait to share (what hopefully will be) my success story and I can't wait to browse the forums some more and read how others are doing! I hope your weight loss goals are progressing well and I wish you the best of luck getting to where you would like to be (although it looks like you are in excellent shape from your display pic)!! So keep up the great work!
