I don't think I'm ready for a Diary just yet, love all of the before and after threads very inspiring.
I'm guessing photos at some point are important.
I'm glad I'm here, just a bit lost.
:hurray:
My flab isn't to bad considering I had 7 sons, I have noticed that on here weight is in pounds.
Rather Than KGS like in NZ.
:cheers2:

Welcome to the site. I agree it can be confusing. In my opinion it's divided up into too many sub-forums, so it's easy to get lost.

I think the place to start is by reading the "sticky" threads at the top of each sub-forum. It will take a while to get through them, but there is a lot of good info there, and whatever questions you have are most likely answered in one of the stickies.

You'll find that there are plenty of folks here from Australia and Britain who report their weight in kilograms or stones. Handy conversion factors: 1 kilogram = 2.2 pounds, 1 stone = 14 pounds.

Thanks for the reply :0)
very true i have been ready some sticky topics, lol just started a Dairy which was fun.
Its so awesome to see others and their weight loss stories, ideas, goals and achievements.
:)
This place Rocks...

I started by trying to join in the community. Posted heaps in the off topic threads while reading the others. Steve's and mal's stickies are fantastic. Read them! As are the other stickies too, actually.

I'm a kiwi myself. My ticker is in kgs, and I chuck the lbs underneath for good measure. Quick way to convert is to use google. Just type X kgs to lbs (where X is insert the number you want to change) or vice versa.

where do u get a ticker from lol, I have been all over this massive web site and just cant find one.

I'm an old school forum jockey, so of course, I started by blazing through the stickies and big threads. It's somewhat split up, but mostly since there's so much information to cover. Some might find it a bit intimidating or beyond their grasp.

There's people from all over the place here, so you're likely to hit any number of measuring systems. More or less just google kilo to pounds calculator and you'll hit a calculator page in short order.

not bad for that many kids tho really.

Biggest thing really is to approach this place with an open mind, and probably have a couple preconceived notions smashed.
