So Sore!!

I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on how not to be so sore. I just started working out and today I hate to get up and walk. I'm also wondering, do I wait till the soreness subsides before I work out again? I know day 2 gets even more painfull. I've been through this before, (it's my own fault for stoping my work outs) and then I become tired all day from it. I do have a hot tub, and before writing this I read its recommended after your work out, would a hot bath also do. Mind you I sit at a desk all day so its hard to keep streching. So if anyone could offer advice! thanks!!:eek:
 
If you feel your soreness will hinder is to strong then yes wait until it dies down to workout again. In the meantime and for the future make sure to get a lot of protein after your workout and don't overtrain. You just started working out so its going to whoop you, i know it did me ha.
 
Being sore after you start a new workout is typical. However, give yourself plenty of rest time before you work the sore muscles again. 48 hours at least.

The best way to reduce DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) is to warm up properly, workout properly, stretch afterwards, drink plenty of water and eat afterwards.

The DOMS will naturally get better as your body gets more used to working out.
 
Yeah, it gets alot better after a week. But, if you miss a couple weeks, expect to feel that soreness again!
