So, I'm kinda worried.

I'm 19 and the most I ever weighed was 243. My weight goal is 125. I'm glad to see that I'm making progress, but I've been worrying about the possibilities of having sagging skin. (I'm 5'2", dunno if it's a factor or not).

Being younger, do you think my skin still has the elasticity to become firm after my weight loss or do you think I'll have a problem?

From what I can tell there are so many things that can can contribute to it. I'm worried myself. I started at 240 & I am 179 now. My goal is 140. Maybe 130 or so but for now it's 140. I'm 22.

How long you take you loose it can be a factor. If you loose it too quickly your body can loose it's elasticity. They say body moisturizer helps. Drinking enough water. Weight lifting! That's all the advice I have.....hah

Any advice is taken here. Thank you.

If it's that really bad when I reach my goal, surgery is an option. I'd hate to do it though.

The way I look at it is this: would you rather be fat or have a bit of loose skin?

I have some loose skin around my tummy, but it has tightened up some over the last year (started out at 247, now weigh 168). I figure there will always be some sag there unless I go for surgery to fix it, but I'd MUCH rather weigh what I weigh now and be healthy and fit and have a bit of skin around than weigh 247 again.

Look at some of the pictures in the before, after, and in between forum. Those people look great, and don't have any noticeable loose skin hanging off them. Don't worry about it.
