I've been lurking here for a few days and finally decided to post something. I'd like to introduce myself. I'm 24, Female, and 310lbs. Or at least that's what my OLD scale says. I don't know how much I weight, but the scale is not far from the truth. I made my ticker based on my scale weight.
Tomorrow I will find out my real weight and change my ticker accordingly. I just called for an appointment to rejoin Curves. I was a member there last year and dropped about 20lbs. But my work got in the way, I started missing days, and eventually just sotpped going. At work I would eat fastfood, or any junk food, rarely did I take lunch to work. So I eventualy gained back the weight plus more.
When I was in the eight grade I weighed 240lbs and went down to 186 after joining Jenny Craig!! But low self-esteem and me being sick of eating Jenny Craig food eventually made me gain back all the weight plus more.
In the back of my head I always want to lose it, but there is something preventing me from losing it. I read the post about being scared to lose the weight, scared of being thin. Thanks for posting that, I will definitely do the exercises.
As for physical exercising I plan to do Curves three times a week, walk around the block about 4 times every night. And days when I'm not during Curves work out to Richard Simmon's Sweating to the oldies. Hopefully that won't be too much, I'll reduce it if it is. But I'm the type that once I start moving, I really begin to like it.
As for eating I'm just going to eat whatever I want, as long as I stay in the vicinity of 1200 calories a day. And I'm going to drink 8 or more glasses of water, laying off the soda, but still having some once in a while.
My first weight loss goal is to make it to 250lbs. My ultimate goal is to make it to 150lbs.
I plan to come here a lot for support, so I just wanted to say hey!!!
