So Frustrated!!!

I've been eating healthy and working out 30 minutes 4-5 times a week, either walking/running or doing the workout Yoga Booty Ballet. I lost 15 lbs quickly (over a month or so) and now I've been plateau'd for about three weeks. My pants are looser, so I'm toning, but it's SO frustrating to see the scale not going down and sometimes going UP. I've tried switching my exercising up, tried eating differently, but I'm just...stuck.

Any ideas?!?!?!

We all go through plateaus, it's just part of this journey. How many calories are you eating per day? You may need to eat more for a while to let your body know that everything is OK and it's time to use some more of that stored energy.

I don't really count calories, per se, - more along I try to eat all the food groups. Here's yesterday:

Breakfast:
peaches
glass of skim milk
assorted pieces of watermelon, pineapple, honeydew

Lunch:
grilled chicken salad with ranch dressing (fork dipped in the ranch, not on the salad)
yogurt
fruit

Dinner:
1 piece of grilled salmon with lemon pepper seasoning
1 piece of wheat bread with small amt of margarine

Workout:
30 minutes of Yoga Booty Ballet
weight lifting (2 lbs, more for sculpting and toning than bulking up)

I've got PLENTY to lose - maybe you're right. Maybe I DO need to kick it up calorie-wise for a bit. How long do you think? Three days?

Plateaus are normal, I just broke my 4th one which lasted over a month. I'm incredulous at how little you eat, I would be unable to finish a workout with so little food. Maybe try eating more and exercising more...

Eat 5 meals at least and maybe try drinking some coffee before exercising. You need carbs for your workouts. Eating too little will hurt you, as you're experiencing right now.

I really don't know how long, try 3 days and see how it works for you. In my opinion it would really help if you tracked your calories for a week or so. It will give you a really good idea of what's really going on. There are calculators on the web that can help estimate how many calories you need to be eating, I don't know the links right now.

I know plateaus are frustrating, try to remember this is not a race to lose weight it is a change in your lifestyle. There is some trial and error to this weight loss gig. (By the way, I'm talking to myself here too).

You can do this. Good luck.
