I have no idea where to put this, so you guys get me ranting and raving. I started Jillian Michaels Making the Cut a few weeks ago. Actually, this is supposed to be my last week. I was looking better, feeling better, getting stronger, everything that was supposed to happen was happening. Until last Monday.
I noticed a little sting on my tailbone, and knew that it was a pilonidal cyst flaring up (I had it about 8 years ago). It was no big deal on Monday, but as the day progressed, I started feeling worse and worse. I called my doctor and made an appt. for Wed. Well, the day before the appt, I was running a fever and felt sick to my stomach, so no gym that day. I go to the dr, and he lanced it and drained it. (Gross, I know and probably TMI, but at this point, I really don't care) It is now packed with gauze and I am living on Darvocet and antibiotics. I go back tomorrow to hopefully have the packing out for good, but I need to get back to working out. I tried running on Sat, and that was a bad idea. I know that I need to give my body time to heal, which is why I'm not pushing the workout issue, but I feel like crap.
It pisses me off that I was halfway through the program and finally seeing the results that I want, only to be sidelined by this shit. Not to mention the fact that I have a 10k trail run in literally 2 weeks that I haven't been able to train for. I am so mad and aggravated!

Sorry, just had to vent!
Anybody else been in a similar boat?
