Skipping rope w/o shoes?

Just a quick question about it. :D I don't wear shoes when I do it, and I'm wondering if that's really bad; my parents refuse to let me buy them. I've heard shoes offer more support and lessen chances of injury... does anyone know what I could do? It is okay to NOT wear shoes?

Actually, it's better for you in a neuromuscular sense. This is especially true when doing compound movements squats or dead lifts. You have 'pressure sensors' in your feet that help regulate muscle recruitment. When you wear shoes these signals are interfered with because of the cushion in shoes. This is why lifters shoes are flat with no cushion.
Just give the muscles in your lower legs time to adapt.
