Skinny boy wants some meat.

Hi, I'm rob, im a 20 year old veg head ... thats right i dont eat meat ... i am about 120 to 130 pounds, and im 5'9" ... iv always disliked the fact that im such a small guy ... its cost me getting beat up constantly in highschool, and the ablity to not do things that other people can ... im confident in my self other than this part of me

Do you have any tips for a guy with a high motabolisim, that no matter how hard he tries he cant gain wieght, plus i dont eat meat so i know that makes it even harder, i do how ever still eat dairy products and eggs. Any tips for gaining some mass make me stronger?
 
You need to increase your testosterone. You can do this by eating foods that boosts your testosterone. High testosterone foods contain high amounts of zinc and protein. Mono insaturated fats are also considered to increase your testosterone as well, but don't eat too much. Eating dairy products helps(Milk, yogurt,cottage cheese, etc.) and also eating beans and nuts.

In what way would more testosterone make you gain weight? And why do you think the guy has low test levels in the first place?

To gain weight you need to have a calorie surplus; if you want to gain muscle you need the calorie surplus plus a decent workout. Try a full body workout roughly 3 times a week and a calorie surplus of 500 a day. If you stick to this then you will gain weight. Almost every single person who blames their lack of weight on a high metabolism just doesn't eat as much as they think they do
 
As the others said, you need to eat more to grow. You may think you are eating allot, and maybe you are, but are you eating the "right" foods in excess?

List what you generally eat in a day. Total calories will help. So start yourself a Fitday account, make as many foods custom as possible, place in your average day then post it back here. We will cryptique where possible.

Like everyone said, you gotta eat more! 5'9 125 for a male is pretty small, start eating more. Like silent said, list out what you normally would eat in a day and we'll see what we can do.
 
It's okay man. I am in the same boat. I am also 5'9, but I weigh about 140lbs. I eat as much food as I can and I have been going to the gym consitently for about a week now with a buddy of mine. He is showing me the proper way to lift weights. I just wanted to ask how long it might take until I can stop waking up with my muscles being extremely sore. The other day I woke up and I could barely life my arms they hurt so bad.

I guess I am just going to state the facts. Being a vegetarian will make it extremely difficult to put on size.

The volume of food you need to eat to get the proper amount of nutrition to put on size is a lot more than your meat eating counterparts.

It is good that you still eat dairy and eggs. Greek yogurt (I have not seen it mentioned yet) is another high protein food that is not meat.

Eating a lot of eggs and dairy can cause some people stomach issues as well.

Just know that you are going to have to have your nutrition planned out well in order to make quality progress.
 
I did my title for the ironc reasons:) ... but could you all give me some good food ideas that would be a smart idea for me to eat ... i really just want to gain some muscle and not look like skin and bones

Let me ask you this, why do bodybuilders eat foods with alot of protein?

I just assumed. In his( RaTt)words, he's a veg head. He said himself it makes it even harder to gain mass.

By the way, why do people start their sentences with AND?
 
yeah, and when you are not able to retain, you must regain that ability in order to obtain...

with that i will obstain, before I become a pain
