I started my bulking phase in February this year, I continued doing it because i was getting results until April which was the month I ended my my bulking phase. I ended it because I thought school was getting in the way and I needed to focus.
Anyway I'm a 15 year old male and I have been dealing with a huge problem after using the program. I have been experiencing fatigue that is not being solved by resting or sleeping. When I started my beginner bulking phase I experienced extended fatigue for the first time. I looked at the fatigue as a sign of my body needing rest to build muscle which is pretty normal.
When I stopped my phase in April the fatigue continued and it still is present all the way to JUNE. I went to my doctor he said I have an iron deficiency and that's why I'm tired. I refuse to believe that is true because I have had iron deficiency my entire teenager life and it never caused me fatigue. When I was 14 I had sever iron deficiency and I used to dance very intensively for hours without experiencing nothing but perspiration. So, I know that it has to do with this bulking phase I was on and not the Iron.
I did research and I came across multiple sources stating carbohydrates like potatoes and sugar are good for ectomorphs. They also stated that to much carbs for an ectomorph can cause a crash and fatigue that lasts for an extended period of time. Looking back at the meal plan I used, which was a 3500 calorie meal plan, It had a lot of carbohydrates. Every single meal and snack consisted of more carbohydrates than fat and protein. Thinking about my life I had never consumed that many carbohydrates ever until I used that meal plan, which did help me build muscle by the way.
I come to think that maybe that is why I'm I'm always tired. I wish to continue body weight training in the summer and it's already JUNE. I don't want this fatigue getting in the way.
Has anyone ever experienced this, or does anyone have any knowledge that can help me overcome this? I really need help and my doctor doesn't seem to help at all.
By the way, when I was 13 I also experienced fatigue. I believe I was fatigued at 13 for a different reason which would be stress. Which is exactly what I experienced at the age of 13. The program I was using was Vince DelMonte's No nonesense muscle building.
