Six Pack....

In recent weeks I have been working out five days a week, but just concentrating on the major muscles. I usually only do ab exercises after my "real" workout, the problem is I'm about 8%-9% bf and I dont have a clear, defined six pack. Can anyone give me any tips or suggestions?

This is what Mike100 wrote in the bodybuilding FAQ section...

Q. I want a six pack?
A. First you do need to cut down the fat on your stomache. But you also need to use a high tension technique. Research: jackknife sit up, russian twist, ab pull over (these should be done with a HEAVY WEIGHT, not a dinky 2 lb barbie colored dumbell). Do them 3 times a week for about 3-5 sets of 5.

I have a similar problem...can someone please help:

I just completed P90X..i gained some lean muscle, but I was already a bit lanky, and CANNOT afford to get any skinnier. I am about 5'7-5'8 and 139 pounds. I can only see my six pack slightly when i flex, otherwise I don't really see it.

Obviously I would like a six pack, but I can't really afford to lose weight.
I am told that if I want to work out for muscle mass, to INCREASE the calorie intake by alot..will this make my problem even worse? I want to get bigger, but I am worried that I will never get the clear, defined six pack that I am striving for.

All help appreciated,
TH

If you are on a muscle building diet you will have more fat on your body. Having a clear defined "six pack" will come quickly for you Tony just keep working on it, and if you would like I can share my ab workout based on Shawn Phillips ab workout.
