interesting poses and outfit selection

what is your goal?

FF

MY goal is to get back into competing again- this year I am going for trained figure in Nabba in the Uk, next year Physique. I have also taken up kickboxing again and am training to start fighting in contests next year.

I competed in Nabba figure and Muay Thai 23 years ago, and went back to them in January this year because I was sick of looking like a middle aged frumpy woman.....

I do a four day split and two nights kickboxing at the moment, with swimming and extra cardio on most days. I train to high intensity at the moment with the weights

mon-cardio/abs/arms/inner outer legs
Tue-cardio/abs/chest/leg ext/leg curls
we-cadio/abs/shoulders/leg press/calves
thur-cardio/abs/back/squats/lunges

Fri and weds nights are kickboxing with free sparring. I work at weekends and some nights as an entertainer in tourist hotels (rock and roll show )

I am currently cutting hard for my contest in October. Just want to look awesome at my age, the trophy isn't so important as taking this body home with me.

As to the interesting choice of poses /outfits why not? Variety is the spice of life......

Are you going to get a new outfit for the competition? I see you looking good in greens, blues, or even purples. Sometimes I want to buy one of those competition suits just because they are so sparkly!

And thats a great attitude about the competition, its true having the body and the health that comes with it is the biggest prize of all. Good luck! :)

That's right, and no one can ever take that from you, and improving the body and health--when all the smoke clears, IS the most important thing.

We have only one life. We have only one body.

And, we need to take care of it.

Believe me when I tell you, you are not too old. The body will still respond and adapt to diet and training methods applied over time--even at "our" ages. Keep worken it!!!!!

I wish you much luck with your goals.

Keep ROCKEN

Best regards

I don't understand your training split. What do you mean by inner and outer legs? And then why are you turning around on Tues and doing leg extensions and hamstring curls and then the next day doing leg press? Also, most like you're hitting your triceps on M, T, and Weds.

Also, you're hitting the front delts on T and W and most likely on M. And why don't you have more back work?

I mean abductors and adductors, side kicks and inner leg work on ballet kick machine for inner and outer legs. I do so much on my legs because I needed to bring them up to par ! The exercises are in this order to hit all the seperate muscles of the legs. This is the basic split, although it is changed often to hit lagging body parts.

I also deadlift when I feel I have the energy to do a few sets.I train back specifically on only one day. I do lower and upper back on machines as part of my ab programme as well, but didn't list it.

My triceps needed a lot of work !

Everyone has different ideas on workouts and training. I am not looking to change my current split at the moment. I have a pro trainer and he has worked wonders for me with my training so far. I change to a completely new programme in two weeks time, when we reassess where I am and what needs to change body wise. But thanks for your comments.

I have to wear a regulation type bikini for nabba contests in the Uk,( typical triangle top with long straps that cross and tie to the bikini bottom ) have a new one that is tan coloured so it does not distract from the body. Night show is thong bottoms.

You'll have to let us know how the competition in October goes, and get some pictures of you up on stage! :) That's so exciting for you, good luck!

brilliant, I think it's inspiring to see women working out at all ages particularly your age. I think you deserve to wear whatever you like convincingly with style and confidence...well done
